Francesc Xavier Boncompte

Hello, I'm Xavi, the ideologue behind the Kata concept.

My training began in 1994 at the Sant Ignasi School of Hospitality and Tourism in Barcelona, and I've worked in Strasbourg (France), Eastbourne (England), and Oslo (Norway), as well as various hotels and restaurants in Barcelona, where I've learned different ways of working and diverse cuisines.

From these experiences with colleagues from different cultures, I've developed a pleasure for tasting foods from all over the world, regardless of borders or products.

This is where Kata was born, where we want to bring you cuisines from everywhere: Mexican and Andalusian, Moroccan and Majorcan, Japanese and German, Indian... and of course, Catalan dishes.

It's the "Cuisine in motion" that defines me and defines Kata. I'll be waiting for you!
